review of my script

With this review I aim to explain my good points and my bad points within my script. all together i believe it is a very good script however improvements could be made to it. My advantages with my script is that it is very detailed to the story and the camera angles work very well within the story and the advantages of the emotion I have brought through the story. The disadvantages to my script is that the story is not a very easy story to display with few scenes so much more scenes are needed in order to fully understand the concept of the script of the game which makes the script hard to follow this makes the plot devices hard to notice.

Overall i enjoyed the script and found it very fun and simple to make however some concepts may have been difficult been a example of showing how the characters should act in the situation but it is difficult to get the exact response you want the character to give. My fitness for purpose to the audience suits the game that it is aimed at however better improvement of grammar could be made. The literacy of the script is not very good however that is due to my bad grammar and it still needs improving to that issue.
A few friends looked at the script and said it was good however they all said that it was not easy to understand at first but then made sense as the script continued."The script is very good however it would be better if i could understand what is going on from the beggining as the story does not fully tell me if it is a fighting game or a crime solver":Dave . This is a example of what i was told about my script.

More improvements could be made for a script but for a first try I enjoyed creating the script and I hope it is usable and acceptable to be used when it is read over and considered to anyone interested in creating the game. The style of my script is very serious at first bu tthen becomes very casual and laid back so that they get the inciting incident first and then the relaxation of the game. It is difficult to script my character at some parts as it has branching and multiple choices so the script can always change at that specific part if it is complete or not complete. I used a few writng strategies such as brainstorming and pre writing but with other scripts in order to get a feel for the script and the charatcers themselves however it was still very difficult to get the full idea of my characters as there are many many different types of characters.

I used the wizard of oz script in order to give me a idea of how to create a script.
EXT.FOREST.DAY
DOROTHY, TIN MAN, SCARECROW and TOTO walk through a thick forest in the Land of Oz. Dorothy carries a basket, the Tin Man carries an axe and an oil can. The road is paved with yellow brick and is covered with dried branches and dead leaves. The Emerald City is seen far in the distance.
DOROTHY
It's really scary in these woods!
They hear a deep growl from wild animals in the trees!
DOROTHY
What was that?

I used this to help me get a understanding on how the script works so it can count as research to my writing strategies as well. My script however does not kmatch with other games of my genre as well as others as they usually involve just a simple tournament with either no story at all or limited story whilst I try to create amd make the story more broad and usable so that way the player understands why the character is playing his role in the game.

The script I believe suits its  target audience of 15-25 as it involves some violence but the violence is not too bloody or violent to be classed as a 18+ as the scenes do involve some sort of violence that cannot be shown to the younger ages however it is not classed as extremely violent. With the scenes of my story I believe they could be improved however they could cope with the plot devices given as showing the emotion of the character helping give the story a easy way of changing the mood to a quick event or a plot device.

Withing my writing strategies I did use a few such as free writing and brain storming however more research and doing this I refereed to my story development log for more help and sources in order to complete the scripts efficiently.

When  created the scripts i had to make sure that the characters acted as they were given in the back stories otherwise they would not suit their personality and how they would progress within the story rather than the character remaining the same throughout the game. Doing this allows me to show that the character is going more deeper into the game as well as the player as the game continues and not have a repetitive story line throughout the story.
